Kaz's childhood was a fairly normal one, filled with the love of both his parents. Surprisingly as a child he was a child prodigy who was skilled in virtually anything he did  including music, sports, math, English, and science to name a few. As a result he was looked up to by many, but also envied by most; his parents were very humble people but couldn't contain their joy to show off their son as much as they could. Kaz had an opportunity to grow and experience the world more as his parents thrust him out into the world, but he only wanted to be by his parents. He enjoyed the time he spent with his parents as his life was filled with love, until that changed when he was seven. His family had just come home from celebrating a music concert where Kaz himself had a violin solo to perform. His father and mother had been very excited to see how beautifully their son played the violin, as he added a small twist in the middle of his piece.
Half-way home Kaz had dozed off and sometime later he awoke in his parent’s car with both the driver and front passenger car doors left open. Confused as Kaz scrunched his eyebrows in confusion he took his seat belt off and hesitantly got out of the car. His parents wouldn't have left him in the car right? He thought as he walked toward his home, a simple house with two stories, a porch, and a yard big enough for a child to play in. Taking a deep breath, Kaz's green eyes (O.o) looked up ahead to the front door of his home, it was open, but as he looked at the door knob he gasped. The door knob seemed to have been torn out of the door itself, something he had never seen happen before, and it scared him more. Without thinking Kaz rushed in the house, "Mom!? Dad!?" he yelled and heard no reply as he entered the living room, then the kitchen, and once he was in front of the stairs he could smell something metallic. The scent seemed to make him slightly dizzy as his head began to throb painfully. Unsure why, Kaz ran up the stairs to his parents room only to see blood splattered everywhere. His parents or what was assumed to be his parents were only pieces of flesh torn, bitten, and splattered all over the room. Crimson blood splattered on the ceiling, walls, bed, and floor as the child stood frozen unable to take it in. He opened his mouth to scream but the scream was caught in his throat as no sound escaped, turning his gaze to the cloaked figure that was looking at him the child's eyes widened in shock and fear. The man's face was barely seen through the dark room, lit by only a single ray of light that showed things were a mess of blood in the room, and part of the man's face that was covered in blood. The man's eyes were a bloody red that scared Kaz, but he couldn't move as the man started to approach him. When the man was in front of Kaz everything went blank, he couldn't remember what happened next.
Opening his eyes Kaz found himself in his room, tucked in like he had always been. The first thing that Kaz did when he awoke was look around to confirm he was really in his room, then ran outside his room and froze.  He came face to face with a police officer that was startled to see the seven year old exit a room, Kaz was confused as to what the officer was doing in his home until he remembered that dream and ran toward his parent's room, but was stopped by the officer who grabbed Kaz, who was no struggling with the officer, "I'm sorry son, but you can't go in there." 'Mama!! Papa!!" Kaz screamed in the officer’s grip as tears began falling down his eyes as the officer held the screaming, now crying boy. It wasn't until a black haired detective exited Kaz's parents room did he notice the crying child, "Who is that?" the detective asked. 'It appears that this is the pair’s child’ the officer responded. The detective hid his momentary shock, not believing that the child was something they all had over looked, sighing the detective took Kaz from the officer as he set the boy down, "I'm sorry son but your parents have gone to a better place." The news only served to make Kaz cry harder as he had lost his only family. "Detective why do you have to be so blunt to a child!!" a female officer scolded the detective as she took Kaz into her arms and calmed down the child. "Ah, ah, I get it Rina." the male detective told the woman as she took Kaz outside. Once outside Kaz started to calm down in the arms of the woman named Rina who seemed to remind him of his mother, as he wept. He continued to weep until he fell asleep in her arms and dreamed, dreamed of his dead parents who he no longer had. In the dream they reminded him that they loved him.
It took him four years to adapt being without his parents as he was now  an eleven years old child. The day he had lost his family was also the day Rina had adopted him when she tried to find any of his family members but had no luck. He himself knew he had no other relatives to begin with but he had a strange feeling he was being watched at times when he was with Rina. He could never understand it but it felt soothing to him, at times it would scare him when he felt a dark aura looking at him. During those times he would stay close to Rina, hoping she would comfort him but there were times where she would push him aside to head on her dates. One night when she had left him alone he could feel someone’s stare on him as he sat up from his bed and turn the lights on. When he did so he found his emerald eyes had changed to a sapphire hue that confused him, before he saw a cloaked figure behind him. Quickly spinning around he was met with nothing as his vision suddenly turned black with a gentle voice speaking.  He couldn’t recall that voice only that he had somehow heard it before. When he woke up he was on his bed and when he looked around the room it was day, getting off his bed he ran to the mirror to verify something. When he did he saw his eyes were indeed sapphire blue and that last night wasn’t a nightmare, and something he noticed was a small mark on his neck. It seemed like it was the outline of something but it was barely visible from what he could see. Scrunching his eyebrows in confusion he soon gave up and started to change to head to school.
~a few more years of time skip~
Ever since that morning with the new eye color Kaz had constantly gotten in arguments with his adoptive mother Rina, insisting his eye color was emerald and not blue. In most of the arguments Kaz would lose his temper and head out with his friends. During those times Kaz was a big trouble maker as he was the leader of a gang would skip school and let his grades slip greatly to the point he was failing. He could easily take the exams that kept his grade high enough for him to be a trouble for those that studied hard for the grade. It wasn’t until a brunette approached Kaz when he was with his friends up on the roof. The girl had guts to try to slap him, but Kaz had seen it coming very slowly as if his reflexes had sharpened. The girl yelped in pain from his grip, when he had let go he saw the dark marks on her hand caused by his grip, but that confused him more as he didn’t believe he applied enough pressure to hurt her. As soon as the girl looked at Kaz’s confusion she seemed to momentarily forget the reason why she was here before she shook her head and yelled, “You jerk! How is a delinuquent like you able to score so high when you don’t study and skip school!” This only helped Kaz chuckle darkly and his ‘friends’ suddenly got up and bolted out of the roof, so only the girl remained. Confusion registered in the girl as Kaz’s sapphire eye glared at her coldy before he pinned her down. The girl was about to scream but her lips felt something warm as she was silence with a kiss from the boy. She wasn’t sure what happened but she liked the kiss and when he withdrew his lips from her she felt sad and looked up at Kaz who chuckled and stood up. He took out a pack of cigarettes and was about to light one when the girl smacked it out of his hand, he turned to glare at her as she glared right back, “Smoking in school is not a good thing.” ‘ I should have known better, then again I don’t care about school, president.’ Kaz replied to the girl who bit her bottom lip. Turning to her Kaz once again approached her; he seemed to have an interest in this girl. ‘Name?’ he asked her as she looked at him before hesitantly replying, “R-Risa.. Risa Amane” “Kaz..” was his reply as he walked away from the girl. He left her confused as he closed the door to the roof, feeling his blood pulse quickly for an unknown reason he headed outside the school, he needed an outlet.
The next day Risa was waiting in the student council room when a student ran inside looking out of breath. He had reported that a group of gang members entered the school and are making a ruckus. Many of the students are frightened as many of the girls that were taken are being dragged out of the school. Risa rushed out of the student council office to go after the gang members that had entered their school to see a few of the girls they had taken were pinned to the ground as they were starting something. Alarmed and angered Risa ran towards them to stop them, as she also saw fights between normal students and the gang members break out. Her first priority was the girls, then to stop the fights. As she neared the guys that were forcing their touch and kisses to the girl, Risa had been held back by her hear and let out a scream. The guy that held her hair roughly began to touch her thigh and feeling paralyzed with fear closed her eyes. “Now!” she heard a voice as the touch on her thigh was gone and so was the pain of her hair being pulled, instead it was replaced by a tender hold around her shoulders. Looking up she saw an angry Kaz with his sapphire eyes filled with rage. Looking around her she could see the guys she had seen yesterday with Kaz saving the girls from the guys and helping the other students who had lost the fight.
In a few minutes the fights ended as Kaz had let go of Risa and started to talk to the leader of that gang. With a punch to the face the other gang leader fell back and the gang left the school grounds. The girls who had been attacked most of them were the girlfriends of the gang Kaz lead. While Kaz received thanks from his friends and the girls who seemed calmer now. Clearing her throat Risa told everyone to head to class and turned on her heels to head back to the student council room. Days kept passing but Risa and Kaz started to grow closer as she realized that even though his grades were slipping he wasn’t trying to get attention from others with him being a genius and his terrible past. Risa wanted to stay close to Kaz which they did throughout their high school life.
When they graduated from school, Kaz was a second leader after stepping down as a gang leader to another guy that he believed would do better than him. He wasn’t mistaken when he actually protected his area and those around him; it also helped Kaz keep Risa at ease. After dating for a while Kaz had proposed to Risa who happily with tears accepted being with him as they both planned to marry when they both turned nineteen.  As they had grown closer Kas met both of Risa’s parents and then Risa met Kaz’s adoptive mother who seemed angry with Kaz for getting engaged with a girl so soon. Ever since Kaz started dating Risa, his adoptive mother would bring men to the house, stay out longer and at times sleep with men right before he entered the house. It sickened Kaz to the point that he had to stay with Risa in her home. Her parents didn’t mind it as long as they slept in separate rooms which they did.
When they turned 19…
Though one day when Kaz returned to his home he saw a letter, with a stamp, a stamp that had a metallic smell that he remembered as a kid. His eyes widened as he took the letter shakily in his hand and opened it. When he opened it, the letter itself was written in a language he had never seen in his life but he was easily able to read it as his eyes widened in shock then in worry, and by the end of the letter he was angry as he ran out of his house and headed to a nearby park that the letter had mentioned. He had to arrive in ten minutes from the time but he was going to be a minute late, he tried to run as fast as he could to save Risa. In the letter they had told him that they had Risa, if he didn’t hurry they would enjoy her. Turning the corner to the area in the park he had entered he could smell something odd and disgusting. Approaching it quickly he didn’t care if it was an ambush or not but when he heard a familiar scream he ran faster. His heart dropped and tightened for when he arrived at the scene, he saw a sad and heart wrenching scene. There in front of him was Risa, being violated by three men, one was fondling her breast the other penetrating her and the third one had bitten her. She didn’t even notice Kaz had arrived as she yelled for more from them. A man behind Kaz chuckled as the three men and Risa continued, but at that moment something inside Kaz snapped as he lunged toward the man and blacked out. He couldn’t control his next actions as he fought the man and bit him as he could taste something delicious and wanted it more. Draining the man he threw him aside as he went after the three men, who he grabbed their heads one by one and ripped them off as if it was paper, blood splattering everywhere as he finished the men. Turning to Risa who was also covered with blood from the men, she crawled to Kaz and yanked lightly at his shirt as her eyes were glazed with lust, something that repulsed him as he kicked her away. She on the other hand only got up to crawl up to him and when she did he yanbked her hair and sank his teeth into her neck, tasting a pure and amazing taste of blood. He continued to drink until there was no more blood left and then threw her aside. Chuckling darkly he came to see a figure, a cloaked one at that. He had remembered of the cloaked figure that had scared him as a child, so he in turn growled but stopped momentarily when he saw the person raise their bruised hand. Their hand looked pale with many scars as if they were cut. Confused Kaz looked at the person before he blacked out and heard that familiar voice, “I’m sorry but they cannot find you here like this.. they will kill you.”
When he awoke in his room again the sun was setting but Kaz felt tired as if everything was a dream. Seeing a letter near his drawer didn’t help as he recalled what had happened and bit his bottom lip hard enough for him to draw blood out. He felt something burning his shoulder and when he turned around it had been a ray of light that had hit him from the setting sun. It wasn’t overly painful but only slightly as he moved away and quickly opened the letter. Reading the contents his eyes widened in shock as he began to pack his items and write a letter to his adoptive mother who would probably be worried. Once he packed he left the house only to find two cloaked figures waiting for him, he was about to run when they both lifted their hoods slightly from their face to show their faces. The faces of those he believed had been lost when he was seven. “H-how?” Kaz asked them as they shook their head and explained they needed to get away first. Nodding Kaz followed them to a remote place that he remembered as a child but never knew where it was.

Once they arrived in a forest like home his parents began explaining that they were vampires and that day twelve years ago they had been hunted by an enemy and a family member had arrived in their home looking for him. When they had found him shortly afterward the police had arrived so they had no choice but to leave him. They had also explained that Kaz himself hadn’t awakened as a vampire until that human girl had been kidnapped. When he asked about the blood in the envelope, they shook their head saying it hadn’t been them, that the second letter in his room was one they wrote. They had been in hiding all these years. Understanding all this Kaz sighed and asked what would occur next. When they told him he needed to be trained and educated further he agreed, if it helped him live alone. In a months’ time he had learned what a vampire learned in three decades and headed out. Hiding from humans he continued to travel for many years.
After hundred(s) of years had passed since he let the remote location he had last seen his parents, he now lived in a forest where an abandoned mansion he had claimed as is own. Occasionally woman and other humans entered. Woman for one, were things Kaz hated deeply and would scare them for his own enjoyment. He would always lure them easily and then dispose of them, because they were all the same, just like Risa…now he is alone.. Away from the vampires that want to kill him for fear of his powers and his birth right.
